‘Ban on women at Sabarimala is scientific’

BELAGAVI: Sriram Sene leader Pramod Mutalik condemned the 3 ladies elderly between 10 and 50 for entering the Ayyappa temple in Sabarim ala. At Ghatprabha on Saturday, he stated the trio were answerable for the violence that came about in Kerala. Mutalik stated, “Our forefathers have made the tradition banning ladies elderly between 10 and 50 according to science in addition to holy scripts.”

“Since the rituals at Sabarimala temple are strict and devotees should climb a steep hill, it harms the womb of women. In this background, the ladies of this specified age crew were prohibited. Women of alternative age groups can enter the temple without any hurdles. Hence the argument that the temple was following gender discrimination has no common sense,” Mutalik stated.

He stated the Supreme Court should rethink its order and advised the Centre to intervene to offer protection to Hindu tradition at the price of implementing President’s rule in Kerala.
