Citizens’ safety our top priority: Rajkot police chief

Rajkot: Rajkot police commissioner Manoj Agarwal said on Tuesday that providing an environment of safety and security to women and senior citizens shall be high on police agenda in 2019.

Talking to newshounds about New Year resolutions of town police, Agarwal said that fixing visitors issues through expanding surveillance on the street is also high on the agenda.


“We need to keep an eye on anti-social actions in 2019 and provides a safe and secure atmosphere to women and senior citizens,’ Agarwal said.


“Our priority in 2019 is to curb traffic-related problems. Rajkot is possibly the only town the place the choice of automobiles outnumbers the inhabitants.” The visitors brigade power of 400 other people allocated to Rajkot town will sign up for tasks this week and they're going to be deputed on all necessary roads for smooth control of automobiles.


Agarwal additionally announced that property-related offences of the last five years shall be studied to curb the related crimes.
