PUNE: Two youths were arrested on Thursday in Pimple Nilakh for allegedly sexually assaulting their neighbour’s 12-year-old daughter within a van.
The woman was on the bus prevent along with her father when the duo presented to drop her to college in their van. The father knew the duo since they’re neighbours, so he allowed the girl to head, police mentioned. Instead of shedding her to college, the duo took her to Shaniwarwada where they allegedly molested her. They also dropped her home within the afternoon.
“On the way in which, one of them sexually assaulted the girl inside the vehicle,” Sangvi police station sub-inspector Alaka Sarage mentioned.
When the girl’s sister returned from school and came upon that the previous hasn’t, her oldsters began in search of her. “The duo dropped her home within the afternoon. When her oldsters requested her why she was overdue, she narrated the ordeal to them,” the officer added.
The duo was charged beneath sections 354 (assault or prison force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), and 366-A (kidnapping of stripling) of the Indian Penal Code and the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act of the IPC.
Notably, on December 11, a 27-year-old man was arrested from Talawade for raping his 13-year-old speech-and hearing-impaired cousing and on December 15, a 31-year-old was held for flashing a five-year-old woman in a public bathroom within the town. In each the circumstances the accused were charged beneath relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
