Five smart projects get push as UT floats tenders

CHANDIGARH: Tenders price Rs 700 crore for 5 a very powerful tasks have been marketed by Chandigarh Smart City Limited on Monday.


The move came after new UT adviser Manoj Kumar Parida told the stakeholders to speed up the works whilst attending his first assembly with the Smart City board.


These tasks come with upgradation of 5 existing sewage remedy crops (STPs) and construction of a brand new STP at an estimated cost of Rs 511 crore; installation of 13,700 smart water meters costing Rs 24 crore in Manimajra; advent of 617 docking locations for public bike sharing project price Rs 20 crore; putting in place of animal carcass incineration plant at Dadumajra for Rs five crore and 24x7 water supply in Manimajra with an estimated cost of Rs 140 crore.


During the assembly, Smart City Ltd CEO and commissioner KK Yadav gave a short lived presentation of the tasks funded beneath the Smart City Mission. He apprised Parida in regards to the about main tasks, together with potable water and waste water control, forged waste control gadget, urban retrofit and redevelopment tasks, mobility and social sector works, power reforms and pan-city ICT tasks.
