Good Samaritans brighten lives of poor on New Year eve

Surat: Many make resolutions for the New Year and its no different for a few non-government organizations (NGOs) in the town too. However, there's a distinction although. The volunteers of those NGOs have now not chalked any plans for themselves, but the underprivileged children in whose hearts they are going to fill a lot of optimism for their long term. The volunteers of NGOs will take the children across the town and shower them with presents of their attempt to make the New Year eve memorable for them.

Some students plan to play Santa Claus for children of slums in Bhatar. They can be distributing toys to the children together with meals packets. One of the scholars stated, “We had stored our pocket money to shop for presents for the children. We will draw pride seeing them happy.”


Nursing Association of Surat has at all times arranged New Year celebrations on New Civil Hospital (NCH) campus. This time too it held a party on Monday for children of patients. Members of the association had embellished the wards with balloons and gave presents to the children, bringing smile on the faces of even critically sick patients.


Nursing Association of Surat president Iqbal Kadiwala stated, “We had ready particular ‘khichdi’ for the family of the patients in New Civil Hospital. We dispensed about 100kg ‘khichdi’, 1,000 apples and different end result to patients.”


Members of International Society for Krishna Consciousness additionally came to NCH and dispensed ‘khichdi’ to family of the patients. Volunteers of Jalaram Trust and Jain Yuvak Mandal additionally dispensed meals to other folks on the campus of NCH. People of a variety of housing societies in Vesu fed poor children on the eve of New Year, filling colours in the clean pages of their lives.
