HYDERABAD: In its attempts to achieve a five-star ranking and give a boost to the town's position on the Swachh scorecard, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is disconnecting water connections of people who find themselves destructive roads and littering public puts.

GHMC commissioner M Dana Kishore on Friday inspected the Khairatabad zone and prompt officers to disconnect water connections of other folks littering puts. "Two water connections (one household and one in all an underneath building building) had been disconnected. In two weeks round seven lakh fines were imposed in Khairatabad Zone,' stated Md Musharraf Ali Faruqui, Khairatabad GHMC zonal commissioner.
