CHANDIGARH: A 23-year-old guy died of suspected drug overdose in a hotel room at Burail on Thursday.
Manjinder Singh, a resident of Samrala, Ludhiana, had come to town along with his two pals 3 days back. They had taken two rooms on rent — one for Manjinder.
On Wednesday, Majinder had gone out for some work. When he returned, he spent some time along with his pals after which retired to his room to rest, resources mentioned. Later at evening, he began vomiting. His pals informed the hotel team of workers and police. A PCR (police regulate room) vehicle took him to Government Multi-specialty Hospital, Sector 16, the place doctors declared him brought dead. Police informed his parents.
Sector 34 police mentioned a postmortem was conducted and the body passed over to members of the family. Police sent his viscera for analysis. Cops mentioned his members of the family informed them that he was a drug addict and banned tablets have been recovered from his room. However, the exact reason for death would only be recognized after the viscera file. The sufferer was a Class X pass-out and unemployed, police mentioned. On July 25, 2018, a 22-year-old early life died at his pal’s rented condo near Khanpur village on Kharar-Kurali street.
