Palakkad-Trichy passenger allotted stop at Uthukuli

TIRUPUR: Palakkad-Trichy passenger teach has been allotted a brand new stop at Uthukuli within the district. The teach stopped at the station for the primary time because it used to be inaugurated on Sunday.
Tirupur MP V Sathyabama, Perundurai MLA Thoppu N D Venkatachalam and Salem divisional railway supervisor U Subbarao flagged off the teach.

“Many people from Uthukuli would shuttle to Erode, especially for work and in the hunt for healthcare facilities. Many others would frequently shuttle to pilgrimages in Trichy and Thanjavur. For those people, the passenger teach could be of significant assist,” R Kumar of CPM said.


Sathyabama, who had asked the Centre to allot the stop, said, “Since the platform at Uthukuli Railway Station can't align with a teach with 24 compartments, I had asked the Indian Railway to extend its period. The railway has agreed to extend its period as much as 280m.”


She also stressed on the wish to stop 5 other trains, including the Coimbatore-Chennai Intercity Express at the station.


Palakkad-Trichy passenger teach will stop at nine.24am for a minute at the station. During the inauguration, 36 people boarded it from the station.
