VADODARA: M S University’s Department of Hindi will get a brand new construction while students enrolled in upper cost programmes can look forward to new infrastructure on the M Ok Amin Padra college campus of the university.
With the toughen of donation received from a retired trainer, the university is developing the brand new construction of Hindi division adjacent Bhasha Bhavan close to D N Hall campus.
“We have received Rs 25 lakh donation from Dr R G Sharma, who used to be serving as trainer on the Hindi division. Sharma has donated a major portion from his financial savings which he had accumulated right through his lifetime to make certain that the department where he used to be serving gets a brand new construction,” said MSU’s in-charge registrar N Ok Ojha, adding that the root stone for the brand new construction will probably be laid on Tuesday.
“We are indebted to donors like Sharma and overdue H Ok Agrawal, the donor who helped us assemble management building centre at Faculty of Management Studies.
They are neither industrialists nor trade persons however donated a big sum from their financial savings to help the publicly funded university,” he said.
On Tuesday, MSU chancellor Shubhangini Raje Gaekwad will also lay basis stone for the extension of Padra college which will probably be finished at the price of Rs two crore from the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) grants.
“The extension will probably be matching the present structure of the present construction. We are creating amenities like school rooms and laboratories for college kids of higher cost programme of science flow which has been re-started on the Padra college,” he said.
On January 11, a full-size statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel may also be unveiled on the Experimental School where India’s first deputy Prime Minister and residential minister had studied for a short lived duration. The statue has been gifted to MSU by Gujarat govt.
