HYDERABAD: 67 women of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Chevella in Ranga Reddy district have been admitted to local sanatorium with signs of meals poisoning on Sunday.
The women had taken fruit salad prior to dinner at the hostel mess on Saturday evening. By 8am on Sunday, 67 out of 191 evolved serious abdomen pain and vomiting and had to be taken to the Chevella Government Hospital.
While 37 of them have been sent back to the hostel after administering the required treatment, 30 of them had been shifted to Niloufer Hospital.
The child-right activists have blamed hostel warden and other group of workers participants for the incident and demanded their suspension.
