NEW DELHI: A couple has been arrested for allegedly cheating several people to the track of Rs 30 crore and leaping bail, police stated on Sunday.

The accused individuals, Vinod Bansal (57) and Preeti Bansal (56), have been additionally sought after in 3 instances by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police, they stated.

The couple was once arrested from Ghaziabad following a tip off, deputy commissioner of police (south) Vijay Kumar stated.


During interrogation, they informed police that they used to entice people to take a position cash of their fake tasks. They had additionally taken loans from several banks and monetary institutions, he stated.


Vinod revealed that he was once a assets dealer and he was once arrested in 2006 in a group housing scam by the CBI, Kumar stated.


Later, he opened a faculty in Ludhiana. He lured people to put money into his school and duped them, the DCP stated.


The couple was once arrested in 2016 and later released on bail. Vinod and Preeti jumped bail and didn't seem in courtroom, the police stated.
