MANGALURU: A 25-year-old woman and her infant had a miraculous get away after they have been hit by means of a jeep. Fortunately, the mum and kid escaped with minor injuries. The incident happened underneath the Uppinangadi police station jurisdiction and has been captured on CCTV.
The woman has been recognized as Chandralatha while her two-year-old son is recognized as Ritwij.
According to police, the jeep that knocked down the lady belongs to a catering company, which also runs a cafe named Tiffin Room in Puttur. The motive force of the jeep entered the eating place after parking the jeep, and leaving the key in the ignition.
A teenager, hired as a waiter in the lodge, hopped into the jeep and fancied his chances with the vehicle. Police mentioned he didn't know driving. As he became the key and stepped his foot on the accelerator, the jeep moved ahead with great speed, pulling down the lady and her kid, who have been standing a couple of metres away. In addition, the jeep also rammed into two vehicles and three motorcycles.
Locals gave the waiter a work of their thoughts and referred to as the police. The woman, who sustained minor injuries on her toe and head, was once administered first-aid by means of them.
Police mentioned the lady didn't wish to record a complaint towards the waiter.
