Drunk man makes hoax bomb call to Chennai police

CHENNAI: A drunk man devised a plan to teach his nagging spouse a lesson and made a hoax bomb name to the Chennai city police control room on Tuesday night time mentioning that she and some others had planted a bomb at Chennai Central railway station which would explode on Wednesday.
A Saravanan, 37, who's a wood worker cum painter, known as the police control room from his cellular phone around 6.25pm on Tuesday and informed the control room group of workers that his spouse, Munni, had regularly spoken to unknown other folks. Saravanan stated he had overheard his spouse talking to any individual about planting bombs at Chennai Central railway station. He disconnected the decision.

The control room group of workers informed the Teynampet police. The police traced him with the help of his cell number.


During interrogations, Saravanan printed that his plan used to be to teach his spouse a lesson since she used to quarrel with him over trivial issues.


The Teynampet police registered a case and arrested Saravanan.


The couple have two sons and a daughter.
