LUCKNOW: The number, 2020, bought for Rs 80,000 in the first-ever online bidding for fancy registration numbers in Lucknow was the costliest registration number in the state.
The value it fetched used to be at least 26 instances of its authentic price, Rs 3,000.
The present bidding used to be for UP32 'KL' series. The online bidding for fancy registration numbers has been carried out as a pilot at Regional Transport Office (RTO), Lucknow
The closing numbers will probably be opened for online reserving on first come first serve basis on Thursday.
"So far the numbers have only been sold online. It is only when we get the bid amount transferred to our account in seven days that we can say the number has brought revenue," stated ARTO (management), Lucknow, Raghvendra Singh.
