BELAGAVI: ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ is an ambitious scheme of the central govt for woman kid empowerment. However, fraudsters have been using it in Belagavi district and looting other folks in rural areas by way of distributing fake bureaucracy.
Fraudsters are asking families with women to fill the shape and ship it to the Prime Minister’s place of work to get Rs 2 lakh once the girl turns into an grownup, police said. They are selling fake sorts of the women and kid welfare department, which is in Hindi, for Rs 10 to Rs 50.
Fraudsters have been pronouncing that every Below Poverty Line (BPL) circle of relatives with women in the Eight-18 age group needs to fill the shape and ship it to the Prime Minister’s place of work. They have made obligatory paperwork like Aaadhar card of the girl kid, bank main points of oldsters and xerox replica of the ration card while posting the shape. Since signature of the gram panchayat president is also obligatory, people are lining up at properties of GP presidents.
Waiting for signature
Laxman Kollappagol, GP president of Sambra village in Belagavi taluk, said other folks have been waiting in front of his house during the last fortnight in the morning to get his signature. “I’m trying to persuade other folks those are fake bureaucracy however they don’t pay attention. They just ask to sign,” he said.
Deputy commissioner SB Bommanhalli said ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ is not a scheme through which money is given immediately to someone. Under the scheme, woman kids get advantages in the type of price waiver in instructional institutions and in different ways for which parents needn’t post any shape.”
Public notification issued
In a public notification, the women and kid welfare department said the principle purpose of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme is to offer protection to woman kids from expanding feminine foeticide.
It added that Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is not a direct benefit scheme and the dept will begin action if anyone or company distributes fake bureaucracy in the name of the scheme to acquire money.
