Gzb: DM sets Feb 20 deadline for Hindon airport

GHAZIABAD: District Justice of the Peace Ritu Maheshwari has set February 20 as the deadline to wrap up paintings on the civilian terminal at the Hindon air base that the Airports Authority of India is growing below the regional connectivity scheme.

The order came after Maheshwari, on Wednesday, carried out an inspection of the web site where GMC, entrusted with the duty of putting in streetlights along the street leading to the terminal, maintained that 95% paintings is whole. The PWD has also virtually completed the street construction paintings.


“The AAI officers knowledgeable me that civil paintings on the terminal used to be whole and as of now, paintings on false ceiling and solving of glasses is going on. I was knowledgeable via AAI that 228 workers are working round the clock to get the paintings completed and I have instructed them that if need arises, they must make use of more personnel and get the paintings completed via February 20,” Maheshwari told TOI.


The GMC mentioned 95% of its paintings used to be completed. “We have installed 70 electrical poles with 140 streetlights all along the manner highway and via finish of this week, we can wrap up the paintings,” mentioned CP Singh, municipal commissioner. “For beautification, we've been instructed via the DM to plant palm timber on either side of the street,” he added.


The PWD, which is setting up the manner highway to the terminal, mentioned it's also virtually whole. “We are looking forward to weather stipulations to toughen and the paintings will take a most of one week,” mentioned Manish Verma, executive engineer, PWD.
