Varanasi: A man was once arrested with smuggled liquor price Rs 50 lakh in Haldi area of Ballia district on Wednesday. The liquor was once being smuggled from Haryana.
According to reviews, performing on a tip-off the police succeeded in nabbing a smuggler Vijay Kumar, a local of Rajasthan, in Ramgarh locality, whilst three others controlled to escape. The police recovered 15,408 bottles packed in 321 cartons from a truck.
The police said that all over interrogation the arrested individual confessed that the liquor consignment was once smuggled from Haryana. He was once booked below sections 60 (1) of Excise Act 272, 273, 419, 420, 467 and 468 of IPC. tnn
