ALLAHABAD: Jal Police and native divers fished out a person’s body who had drowned in Ganga at Sirsa ghat, beneath Handia police station, on Thursday.
The deceased, Virendra Kumar Bharatiya (27), and his brother-in-law Monu drowned in the river after they had long past for swimming on Wednesday afternoon. Rescue teams controlled to fish out Monu’s body on Wednesday.
Sirsa police outpost in charge Rakesh Rai mentioned that joint teams of National Disaster Response Force, Jal Police and native divers began seek operations around five am on Thursday and the body used to be recovered around 2pm. Both the our bodies have been sent for postmortem examination.
