THANE: A five-year-old lady's mother and aunt have been booked for allegedly burning the minor with candle for her mischievous behaviour in Thane district of Maharashtra, police said on Thursday.
The circle of relatives lived in Roadpali village of Navi Mumbai the city.
The lady's mother, Anita Yadav, and her paternal aunt Rinki Yadav were apparently pissed off with the minor for playing in the home and developing mischief, Kalamboli police station's senior inspector Satish Gaikwad said.
They allegedly burnt the kid with candle, inflicting accidents far and wide her frame, he said.
The lady's father, a vegetable seller, on Wednesday lodged a grievance, in keeping with which the 2 girls were booked beneath relevant provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, the professional said.
No arrest used to be made up to now, he said, adding that a probe used to be underway.
