RAJKOT: Even as investors, businessmen and establishments across Saurashtra joined the national bandh name on Saturday to mourn the killing of 44 jawans in Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir, donations poured in for his or her households from all corners.
The Morbi Ceramic Association said that it has amassed Rs 1.5 crore, whilst the Orpat Group announced Rs 44 lakh — Rs 1 lakh in step with martyrs’ family— on Saturday. Besides this, 3,000-odd employees of the Orpat Group will donate at some point’s wage, which roughly interprets to about Rs 15lakh.
Orpat Group’s chairman Pravin Bhalodia said, “As an organization, we can give a contribution Rs 44 lakh and our 3,000 employees will give a contribution at some point’s wage which is nearly Rs 15 lakh.” The employees of the gang may also prepare a rally in Morbi to pay homage to the martyrs.”
The Morbi Ceramic Association has also advised its participants to give a contribution in opposition to the martyrs fund. The industry body began collection from Friday noon and till Saturday night its 800 participants had contributed Rs 1.2 crore.
The different trade our bodies of Morbi, that are associated with the clock manufacturing, packaging, paper mill, have also come forward and deposited Rs 35 lakh.
Nilesh Jetparia, president of Morbi Ceramic Association said, “We want to tell the households of martyrs that all the country is with them. We also plan to prepare a function and invite one of the most family members as visitors and hand them over the overall amount amassed.”
Meanwhile, markets in Rajkot seen bandhs in team spirit with the martyrs. The Rajkot Market Yard announced to give a contribution at some point’s profit to the martyrs welfare fund.
President of Rajkot Market Yard Atul Kamani said, “We decided to stay open as ultimate the marketplace will affect the source of revenue of day-to-day wagers. Nearly, 500 investors and some labourers contributed to this fund. Employees of the marketplace backyard also donated their two days wage. In total, we now have amassed nearly Rs 13 lakh.”
The jewellers in Rajkot, Junagadh, Keshod, Jamnagar and different cities of Saurashtra area seen bandh on Saturday. In quite a lot of parts of Saurashtra, people arranged rallies and chanted anti-Pakistan slogans.
