RWAs want hike in park maintenance charges

CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh municipal corporation must revise the upkeep fees of the neighbourhood parks annually through bearing in mind the fee index. He stated no decision were taken through the government till date.


J S Gogia, common secretary, Federation of Sectors' Welfare Association of Chandigarh (Foswac) stated theRWAs were receiving Rs 1.50 to Rs 2 consistent with square ft as a substitute of Rs 2.48 consistent with square ft as upkeep price because the government concerned deducted price range for quite a lot of expenditures.


He stated the MC was once spending Rs 6 consistent with square ft for a park which was once underneath their upkeep. "We have raised the issue on various platform but all in vain as no action has been taken by the authorities concerned," he stated.
