MYSURU: Cases of phishing are on the upward push as the district witnessed two such circumstances in the remaining two weeks.

According to resources in state police, Mysuru CEN station presently has an inspector, four head constables and three constables. What has made the situation worse is that many a times the body of workers are deputed for works like VVIP safety in other portions of the state. “Cracking the cybercrime circumstances is not a very easy process. Police need to monitor them every minute. But the body of workers of this station are frequently sent for VVIP safety, which has not anything do with cybercrime,” stated a source.
‘No internet’
According to resources aware of the style of functioning of CEN police stations across the state, the Mysuru station doesn’t even have an internet connection, which is the most important for info sharing and amassing.
But SP Amit Singh denied the allegation and said that internet facility is to be had.

There is want of more investigating officials,” he stated. “We will look into the problem,” he added.
