BENGALURU: In a heart-wrenching incident, a farmer appeared on helplessly as his two daughters riding a gearless scooter came underneath the wheels of a speeding truck in Belavangala, Doddaballapura, 45km from right here.
KR Mahalakshmi, 24, and KR Pallavi, 20, citizens of Karenahalli village, Doddabelavangala, were heading to a temple after they were hit close to the 11th Milestone on Doddaballapura-Nelamangala freeway. While Mahalakshmi died at the spot, Pallavi breathed her ultimate en path to medical institution.
“I was riding pillion on a relative’s motorbike and my daughters were forward of me. As I watched, a concrete-mixing truck came in complete speed and rammed the scooter. Mahalakshmi, who was once riding the scooter, came underneath the front wheel of the truck, whilst Pallavi was once overwhelmed underneath the rear wheel,” Ok Ravi Kumar, father of the 2 girls, advised police officers.
“I ran in opposition to them and located Mahalakshmi had died and Pallavi, who sustained severe injuries, was once respiring. A local introduced lend a hand to shift Pallavi to Doddaballapura Government Hospital, but by the point we reached the medical institution, doctors declared her introduced lifeless,” Ravi Kumar said in his complaint.
The truck motive force fled the scene leaving behind the vehicle, police added.
Ravikumar said they were heading to a temple in Hesaraghatta when the twist of fate happened around 11am.
Soon after writing the complaint on the medical institution mortuary, Ravi Kumar collapsed. “The twist of fate snatched away his each daughters. Our body of workers were in tears whilst shifting the bodies to ambulance,” said personnel from Belavangala police station.
Mahalakshmi was once married two years ago whilst Pallavi was once staying together with her folks, family sources advised police. Both sisters had graduated from Doddaballapura Government College.
