BENGALURU: A 31-year-old software engineer with IT products and services company Mphasis dedicated suicide via jumping off his 13th-floor office cafeteria in Bagmane MTB Techpark, Mahadevapura Ring Road, on Thursday. He used to be said to be depressed over well being issues.
Mahadevapura police said Amlan Barman, a resident of Mahadevapura and from Assam, used to be within the cafeteria during lunch hour. Amlan’s colleagues had been having lunch, when he jumped out of the window at 1.45pm.
Police said Amlan used to be beneath treatment for epilepsy and suspect he might have taken the extraordinary step for a similar reason. His mother Shikha Barman also suspected her son’s well being headaches my have pushed him to kill himself. He sustained critical accidents and died instantly.
Preliminary investigation revealed Amlan had taken an overdose of capsules prescribed for epilepsy on Monday evening and needed to be admitted to a private hospital. He used to be on depart for 2 days and returned to paintings on Thursday morning.
“His colleagues said Amlan seemed uninteresting and depressed within the morning before he went to the cafeteria and jumped from a window,” a police officer said.
Amlan used to be born in Assam and later moved to Meghalaya and West Bengal, where he completed his training. He shifted to Bengaluru along side his mother a year in the past after you have a role with Mphasis. He hadn’t left a any suicide word, police said.
