Vadodara cops get custody of duo who dupe 850 of Rs 2.3 crore

VADODARA: City police gained the custody of Pradeepkumar Gupta and Pankajkumar Shrivastava, who're chairman and director of Real India Suraksha Nidhi Limited and Real Indian Mature Benefit Limited, on Wednesday.


The duo was booked for duping several investors from the town to the track of Rs 2.3 crore between March 2014 and April 2017. On Thursday, a judicial magistrate’s court remanded the duo to police custody until February 11.


The corporate had started branches in Alkapuri, Pratapnagar, Dabhoi Road and Savli in Vadodara town and district. They had lured sufferers to invest thru brokers by means of promising them 2% more pastime than banks. However, the corporate closed its workplaces and branches in 2017 without returning cash of investors and brokers.


Police mentioned that round 845 shoppers and 15 brokers of the corporate had lost their cash within the ponzi scheme. Last month, Panchmahal police had arrested the duo from Lucknow for the same offence that was registered at Kalol police station. After the accused’s custody length ended they have been despatched to Vadodara Central Jail.
