THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Travancore devaswom board (TDB) commissioner N Vasu made it clear that the board has no longer made any shift in its stand within the women entry factor in Sabarimala. "The decision taken by the board in November was that it accepted the Supreme Court verdict allowing entry of women of all ages to the Sabarimala temple. We haven't shifted from this stand," stated N Vasu who came again on Thursday after the listening to on the apex court.

Earlier within the day, TDB president A Padmakumar stated he used to be unaware why the suggest of TDB didn't argue for the petition it had filed searching for more time to enforce the SC order. "The TDB had taken the decision to go with a petition seeking time to implement the verdict. Hence, I am not sure whether there was any change in the stand by our counsel," stated Padmakumar.

Vasu stated the Supreme Court handiest thought to be the assessment petition on Wednesday and the court had sought the opinion of the board in this. "We had informed SC our stand, which was taken in November. It was to accept the verdict," Vasu clarified.

He stated the query of the petition searching for time to enforce the verdict didn't turn up since the court didn't believe it. "If the board wants to go ahead with the petition seeking time, we can approach the court again. But on Wednesday only review petitions were considered by the SC," stated the commissioner.

The TDB used to be criticized by stakeholders of Sabarimala temple and opposition parties for the trade of stance within the SC. Though Padmakumar stated he would seek an evidence from the commissioner in this, Vasu stated he hadn't gained this sort of communique.


Upon reaching here, Vasu held a discussion with CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan at AKG Centre. It is learnt that Balakrishnan additionally had a dialog with Padmakumar. Devaswom recruitment board chairman M Rajagopalan Nair additionally spoke to Vasu and Padmakumar.


There are stories that the TDB president isn't being consulted by the commissioner and different TDB contributors because the CPM leadership is directly communicating with the commissioner. This has created speculation that Padmakumar is on his approach out as TDB president.


However, after Balakrishnan's discussion with Padmakumar and Vasu, assets in CPM stated that all misunderstandings have been cleared and there used to be no rift within the board.
