PANCHKULA: Two days after a 29-year-old lady of Punjab used to be allegedly drugged and raped by means of four males at a resort in Sector 11, the police have arrested probably the most accused.
The survivor’s statements were recorded on Monday. She alleged that Chandigarh resident Vikram, 30, who used to be identified to her, had called her to meet him in Panchkula’s Sector 11 resort on Saturday night time. Vikram’s three pals were also there. Sources in police mentioned, “The four were partying within the resort, when Vikram gave the lady some drug and tried to rape her. When the lady raised her voice, she used to be forcibly administered more drug. As she became subconscious, the four raped her.”
The topic came to mild day after today, when the survivor didn't regain awareness and the accused rushed her to Sector 6 civil health center. Leaving her alone in that situation, the men fled from there. The Sector 6 health center referred the survivor to PGIMER, Chandigarh. When the lady came to her senses, she used to be taken to a private health center by means of her family. An ID card helped identify her and hint her family.
On Monday, law enforcement officials registered a case under sections 376-D (punishment for gang rape), 120-B (punishment for felony conspiracy) and 328 (inflicting hurt by way of poison, and so on, with intent to devote an offence) of the IPC on the women’s police station.
Women’s police station assistant commissioner Noopur Bishnoi mentioned, “Vikram has been arrested. A manhunt has been introduced to arrest the opposite three.”
