Baby boy stolen from couple near Tirumala

TIRUPATI: A three-month-old baby boy used to be stolen from a pair while they have been asleep in an open space as regards to Lord Venkateswara temple advanced in Tirumala early on Sunday, police said.

The couple, hailing from Villupuram in Tamil Nadu, had been coming to the shrine for the remaining three years and have been being profitable by means of selling beads and chains for devotees, they said.

On noticing their child lacking they lodged a complaint with police who scanned CCTV pictures close to the spot, which confirmed their child being carried away by means of a girl at around 3am.

Police also tested pictures from surveillance cameras right through the advanced, which captured the woman with and with out the child.


Photographs and photographs have been launched to the media and posted at the social media as well, police said, adding that a hunt used to be on to nab the woman.


In December 29 2018, an 18-month-old boy used to be stolen from a snoozing Maharashtrian couple at the hills by means of a man.


He used to be arrested a few days later from Nanded in Maharashtra and the boy used to be rescued.


In 2017, two such incidents came about at the holy hills. The abductors have been later arrested from Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
