TN Congress wants Rahul to contest from state

CHENNAI: In what might be an try to galvanize workers in the state, the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee on Saturday asked birthday party president Rahul Gandhi to contest from one of the 9 LS seats given to the birthday party in the state, in conjunction with his regular seat, Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

TNCC leader Ok S Alagiri on Saturday issued a proper commentary expressing his wish as well as that of the birthday party state unit. “The state of affairs is so conducive for Rahul, especially when there's a strong anti-Modi issue in the state. Modi disregarded the pursuits of Tamil Nadu, whilst Congress president will likely be a bridge between north and south,” Alagiri informed TOI.
