BENGALURU: Determined to give a push to cycling as a sustainable delivery choice, the state executive has decided to construct 1,000 bicycle parking hubs in Bengaluru city.
At the first general council assembly of Karnataka non-motorised delivery agency held ultimate month underneath the chairmanship of city building division's further leader secretary Mahendra Jain, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) was once requested to provide more cycle-parking slots in the city.

Meanwhile, BBMP's road infrastructure wing's leader engineer S Somashekhar said tenders were floated for construction of 271 bicycle-parking hubs and the bidders had quoted Rs eight.4 crore to take up works. The council accorded the approval for the gentle, topic to certain conditions.
