CHENNAI: Around 22 sovereign of gold jewels were stolen from a pair in a central authority bus at Chennai on Sunday morning.
Police mentioned, Saravanan (27) and his spouse Rani (25) were touring to their native village in Arani at Thiruvannamalai on Sunday morning. “At around 7.30am, they boarded the bus sure to Arani and when the bus reached Nerkundram, Saravanan reached out for the bag to take cash when he found the bag to be stolen,” mentioned a police officer.
Saravanan lodged a grievance at the CMBT police station. Police mentioned that around 22 sovereign of gold jewels and Rs 2000 cash was once stolen along with the bag. Further investigations to nab the culprits are on.
