Vadodara: Detection of crime department (DCB) has nabbed two individuals for extorting top pastime amount from a person known as Raheel Mohammed. The accused had given mortgage to Mohammed after which extorted top rate of interest from him. They later threatened him and took more cash following which Raheel approached law enforcement officials.

Police mentioned Raheel had taken mortgage of Rs2.70 lakh from Taleeb Qureshi, a resident of Panigate, some time ago.


Qureshi had charged 12 in step with cent pastime at the mortgage and in addition taken five cheques from the complainant in opposition to safety. Taleeb returned Rs3 lakh to Qureshi but the latter wanted more cash.


“Qureshi and another accused Zubair Qureshi, then forcibly took Raheel to Yakutpura area some days ago and extorted Rs1.25 lakh from him. They also threatened to kill Raheel,” mentioned Jaydeepsinh Jadeja, DCP (crime). The police mentioned Qureshi owns a mutton store in the outdated city and he can have lent cash to others as neatly on top rate of interest.


A neighborhood court docket remanded Qureshi and Zubair in police custody for 2 days on Friday. The police mentioned they're but to gather some paperwork from the accused.
