On March 28, an open mic will probably be held where younger aspiring writers and poets will get a stage to percentage their writings at 6.30pm. “The thought is to create a conversation channel between actors and writers,” says Pawar.

Organized in March and all the way through monsoon season, the competition is an attempt to fill the space when other theatre activities aren't taking place within the town.

“An artiste struggles a lot to put his first introduction on stage and First Bell on Stage is a motion began in 2007 which hopes to offer that chance to all such writers, directors and actors,” says Pawar. So a long way, some 20 dramas have debuted at this competition over the past few years and a few have won awards in more than a few competitions.

Another characteristic of the competition is that it'll reminisce concerning the works of theatre artistes Shankarrao Magarkar and Madhukarrao Barde. A dais will probably be set up on stage from where a senior theatre person will discuss concerning the contribution of design, make-up and gown artist Magarkar and sound and light-weight artist Barde before the performance.
