NEW DELHI: Four individuals, together with two women, had been arrested by the customs officers for allegedly looking to smuggle out foreign exchange worth Rs 70 lakh at Delhi airport.
The accused, together with a couple, have been intercepted once they have been continuing to board a flight to Dubai on Sunday, a remark issued by the customs division on Tuesday stated.
A detailed private and baggage seek of the accused resulted within the recovery of foreign exchange -- Euro, USD and UAE Dirham-- similar to Rs 70.06 lakh, the remark stated.
Giving details of the seizure, officers stated each the males had hid foreign exchange of their rectums and the ladies have been carrying in hand baggage.
All the four accused are resident of Delhi, they added.
