VIJAYAPUR: At least nine persons died and six others have been injured as two automobiles collided early morning on Friday at NH 218 near Chikka Sindagi of Sindagi taluk of Vijayapur district in Karnataka.
The deceased - Sagar 25, Chand Basha 24, Ajeem 26, Ambarish 28, Shakeer 25, Guru 32, Srinath 30, Younis 27, and Mangsoob 27 - who have been coming back from Goa belong to Chittapur of Kalaburgi.
Two of those injured have been admitted to Vijayapur district medical institution.
Vehicles have been stranded on national freeway due to traffic jam after the twist of fate even as our bodies lay at the street.
