BHUBANESWAR:With elections round the corner, ticket-seekers have been creating a beeline for Naveen Niwas, the place of dwelling of leader minister Naveen Patnaik, with legions of supporters.
From early in the morning till late in the night, one can now see hundreds of BJD staff thronging what is the unofficial seat of power. In sync with the executive minister’s announcement that he would give one-third of BJD’s Lok Sabha tickets to women, the choice of ladies visitors at Naveen Niwas is rather high.
Ticket aspirants say they are trying to justify why they will have to be nominated. Sasmita Nayak, an aspirant for the Hindol meeting segment, who visited the executive minister’s place of dwelling on Tuesday, stated Hindol had been sending ladies legislators for a while now.
“Anjali Behera (2000-14) and Seema Nayak (2014-19) have represented the seat. It is an issue of satisfaction for me to belong to the constituency. We consider Hindol needs the appropriate management and I'm an aspirant for a celebration price ticket.
