COIMBATORE: College scholars Coimbatore district on Wednesday persisted their protests in search of a correct investigation into the Pollachi woman harassment case.
Around 1,000 scholars from faculties in Pollachi accumulated in entrance of the Pollachi municipality office and staged a highway roko demanding that the accused be subjected to a correct trial and so they be punished significantly. Police forcefully made the students disperse.
In the town, more than 100 scholars of Coimbatore Arts College accumulated in entrance of the school gate and raised slogans demanding that the accused be given the severest of punishments.
“All those who have been concerned within the incident must be discovered. They must be given the utmost penalty, the demise sentence. Only then such incidents won’t happen in the future,” said a student protester.
