NaMo E-Tablet distribution at VNSGU called off

Surat: The district election officers swung into action on Saturday morning and stopped distribution of pill by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) after a complaint was filed by Aslam Cyclewala, Congress municipal councillor, stating that the capsules contain pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the duvet. Upon receipt of the complaint, election officers ordered the college to prevent its distribution.
VNSGU had invited representatives from 90 colleges of the town and south Gujarat to assemble the capsules from the college’s conference hall at 11 am. A lot of faculty staffers, who had come to assemble the capsules waited for more than two hours however were compelled to return empty-handed after the method was stopped by election officers. The full identify of the state training department’s NAMO E-Tab scheme is ‘New Avenues of Modern Education via Tablets’.

Interestingly, a deputy registrar who was placed on duty at the conference hall, disappeared from the spot after he got a choice from registrar on his mobile phone. Even the other officers did not tell the rest to the varsity staffers who were waiting at the spot sooner than leaving the hall.

“The college started distributing the capsules which can be being given below the NAMO E-Tab scheme. First, the capsules bear the shortened identify of the PM. Then the boxes of the device contain pictures of the PM. Therefore, I raised objections after which the election commission officers ordered the college to prevent its distribution,” stated Cyclewala. “The college officers had gathered cash for the capsules round 10 months in the past, however they started distribution only sooner than the election. What was the explanation behind delaying the distribution until the announcement of elections,” he requested.

“I am not mindful if the capsules are being dispensed as NaMo E-Tablet. There were no pictures of the PM on the capsules. But once we received instruction from the election officers to discontinue distribution, we did as instructed,” stated Shivendra Gupta, vice-chancellor of VNSGU. However, Gupta may not provide an explanation for to IdealNews when requested how he knew, despite being ignorant of the distribution procedure, that the boxes did not raise Modi’s pics, or why did the college prevent its distribution if the capsules did not have the photo of PM.

Gupta, however, stated that NSUI not easy early distribution of the capsules had lately staged a dharna in a school too. “The govt had gathered cash for it 10 months in the past and after we started the distribution procedure, they (Congress) created issues once more,” he added.
