Greater Noida: The anti-corruption courtroom of Meerut has decided to grant 14-day judicial custody of former CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) P C Gupta and five other accused YEIDA officers who have been booked for every other land fraud amounting to Rs 23.92 crore.
TOI had earlier reported that the scam relates to 2014 when the authority had bought land of about 57.15 hectares in Midhawali village of Hathras district.
Additional district executive recommend (legal) Sirajuddin Alvi said: “The courtroom of Manjeet Singh Shyoran, anti-corruption pass judgement on II, Meerut noted the arguments of each the parties and pushed aside the appliance filed by means of Gupta and others terming it baseless. The courtroom noted that the accused is already in judicial custody since March 19 and there was once no provision of retrospection of a courtroom order,” he said.
