CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu director basic of police T Ok Rajendran on Tuesday transferred the Pollachi lady harassment case to the CB-CID from the native police.
A four-member gang pressured a 19-year-old faculty student within a car, forcibly got rid of her get dressed and videographed her at Makkinampatti near Pollachi on February 12.
The Pollachi police who had been probing the case arrested prime suspect Ok Thirunavukkarasu, 26, of Makkinampatti and his accomplices -- N Sabarirajan, 25, of Jothi Nagar in Pollachi, N Sathish, 29, of Poonga Nagar, in Suleeswaranpatti and T Vasanthakumar of Pakkothipalayam.
On Tuesday, Coimbatore district collector Ok Rajamani detained the four males beneath the Goondas Act.
