Refusal to loan Rs 50k led to woman’s murder

Mangaluru: The Udupi district police, who investigated the murder of 55-year-old Gulabi Hemmady, have learnt that accused Raviraj,31, killed her as she refused to pay him Rs 50,000, which he had demanded from her.

The accused, a motive force through career, was once staying just about sufferer’s space, and was once arrested two days ago. A special police workforce constituted through Nisha James, superintendent of police, Udupi, nabbed him close to Siddapura. He was once remanded in judicial custody and later despatched to five days of police custody for additional investigation.
