THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a cleaning force spanning 5 hours, 250 company workers led via mayor V Ok Prasanth wiped clean the provider roads and sell off yards along the bypass from Kovalam to Kazhakkoottam right here on Tuesday.
The force began at 6am. The workers had been in for probably the most unpleasant experience at Kumarichantha, Muttathara and Ambalathara the place the drains along the provider roads had been clogged with sacks filled with poultry waste.
Around 25 sacks of glass waste, 16 sacks of plastic bottles and one load of plastic waste had been shifted to resource recovery centres.
This is the second mass cleaning force conducted via city company in March. The mayor has directed officers to intensify night patrol in spaces the place poultry had been found dumped in huge amounts. The health wing of city company is also operating with the night patrol staff being led via sub collector to test the apply of waste dumping .
