Salt-free dyeing technology: CIRCOT signs MoU with AIC NIFTTEA incubation centre

TIRUPUR: AIC-NIFTTEA Incubation Centre for Textiles and Apparels has signed a memorandum of working out with ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (CIRCOT) to promote ‘Salt free dyeing technology’ at its regional administrative center in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

With the technology, salts needed now not be utilised for environment dyes on fabrics or yarns. As a result, it is going to cut back virility of effluents resulted in dyeing procedure.


The eco-friendly approach was developed by means of Mumbai-based CIRCOT which has already effectively tested in woven fabrics, and now it wanted to take to the knitwear industry.


AIC-NIFTTEA incubation centre, Tirupur, has planned to promote the technology among dyeing devices in Tirupur, Erode and Karur.


On Saturday, the CIRCOT's principal scientist ASM Raja has exchanged the MoU signed by means of its director with S Periasamy, CEO, AIC NIFTTEA Incubation Centre.
