AHMEDABAD: A theft has been reported from the home of former Gujarat CM, ex- leader of opposition and now a leader of NCP, Shankersinh Vaghela. His safety guard is the important thing suspect. According to the FIR lodged with Pethapur police of Gandhinagar, Vaghela’s safety guy — Basudev Nepali alias Shambhu Gurkha and his spouse Sharda had fled with Rs 3 lakh money and ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh from his house ‘Vasant Vagdo’ close to Ok/7 circle in Gandhinagar.

Suryasinh Hemtuji Chavda (35), a resident of Pethapur who works with Vaghela, has filed an FIR on Sunday night time. “We had hired Nepali 4 years ago and he used to stick with his spouse and kids in Vasant Vagdo. On February 2, Vaghela advised me that Nepali had left in October with his kids and spouse and didn't go back since then. On February 7, ornaments and money worth Rs 7 lakh were not discovered in the cupboard where they have been saved. The room in which the cabinet was once saved was once accessed simplest by means of Nepali and his spouse,” mentioned the FIR.


“Only Nepali and his spouse will have stolen the money and ornaments from the cabinet,” added the FIR.


PSI A J Anurkar of Pethapur police mentioned that the complainant was once filed after it was once discovered all through a wedding preparation at Vaghela’s circle of relatives that the ornaments and cash were stolen by means of the safety guard and his spouse, who had left the home in October.


Police registered a case of theft along with abetment charges and started an investigation.
