VADODARA: Two years ago, when she made up our minds to buy a motorbike, her family members objected and asked her to buy a gear-less two-wheeler like different ladies use. But that didn’t deter Ritu Kaur from chasing her dream of driving a bullet. “Finally I purchased a bullet from my incomes. It was once the happiest second in my life,” Kaur said.
But she isn’t the only lady to trip a bullet in the city. A gaggle of six ladies called ‘Bullet Queens’ who've shed the normal symbol to scorch town roads with the mean device. “Who says that handiest large boys can trip a bullet? Even ladies can handle the burly motorbike and our team has proven that. We simply don’t trip our bullets but own the streets in style,” Kaur, a swimming coach in Navrachana International, told TOI.
“I was in class VIII once I first rode a bike and have been using handiest motorcycles since then,” she said. After Ritu bought a bullet, she posted several photos of her rides on the social media.
“Another Barodian Richa Patel, who drives a bullet, reached out to me after seeing the photos. It was once then that I learnt that any other ladies from town too power bullets,” Ritu said. That was once how the Bullet Queens team took shape.
Twenty-four-year-old Richa Patel, who's youngest in the team, said that she were given interest of driving bullet from her father. “My circle of relatives supported my resolution to head for a bullet, but I many attempted to deter me too. They used to say that girls shouldn’t trip such heavy machines, but I used to snicker them off,” Patel, who also participates in skilled motorbike rallies, said.
The Bullet Queens team has now develop into rather in style in the town and is invited for plenty of events including Independence Day and Republic Day rallies. “We were breaking the normal symbol of bullet riders and now the acceptance of ladies using heavy machines is on its method up.
