CHENNAI: A 10-member gang attacked two people near a commercial complex on Pantheon Road in Egmore on Friday. The injured lodged a police criticism. The Egmore police have registered a case and issued a group service check in (CSR).
Police stated B Venkatachalam, 22, a resident of Alapakkam, and Hasan, of Perambur, would steadily go to the economic complex to play snooker along side friends Yaser of Valasaravakkam, and Anaf Khan of Ayanavaram.
On Friday evening at around 10.30pm, as Venkatachalam and his friends were popping out of the complex the 10-men workforce attacked them and left Venkatachalam and Hasan injured. They were later treated at a central authority clinic.
Preliminary inquiries printed that the duo quarrelled with a few people whilst taking part in snooker. Police suspect the attack could be a result of previous enmity.
Meanwhile, police have gathered the CCTV digital camera photos from within reach showrooms and those were put in on Pantheon Road to track the attackers. Further investigations are on.
