SURAT: A complete of 2,741 other folks were positioned beneath preventive arrests in several cases registered within the city prior to now 20 days. Around 2,058 other folks were nabbed in 2040 prohibition cases and 258 in 56 playing cases. Police detained any other 425 other folks, most commonly history-sheeters, to make sure peace during the celebrations of Ram Navami and start anniversary of Dr Babsaheb Ambedkar.
The force to find history-sheeters was once introduced on Saturday. Staff of more than a few police stations and branches were roped within the force. The force against drunkards, bootleggers and gamblers started 20 days in the past. One bootlegger was once centered at one time in an area beneath a selected police station’s limits.
“The force to detain history-sheeters was once planned prior to the two significant events. Police can stay an in depth watch at the movements of the history-sheeters once their places were showed,” stated a senior police officer.
“Focusing one police station house at a time, the police teams carried out the force to curb bootlegging task. The movements were planned to make sure strict implementation of the prohibition laws,” city police commissioner Satish Sharma stated.
