Complaints by buyers on rise, Rera opens 3rd bench in Noida

GREATER NOIDA: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-Rera) has opened a 3rd bench in Greater Noida to tackle the push of proceedings that has been pouring in from homebuyers.

According to UP-Rera contributors, a minimum of 25 proceedings are being registered day-to-day and round 100-150 circumstances are picked up for hearing on a daily basis. “The volume of proceedings is so large that we badly wanted a 3rd bench. Now, we hope to hurry up hearing of pending circumstances. We have already heard a significant collection of circumstances since September,” stated Balwinder Kumar, a UP-Rera member.

Until now, the regulatory frame has received 7,999 proceedings and disposed four,232 of them. Over four,800 proceedings from throughout NCR are but to be heard. The UP-Rera had on April 22 rejected packages via 36 business and residential tasks for failing to meet perquisite norms .

“There are a collection of documents that a builder must complement their software with. When we scruitinised these packages, we discovered a number of documents lacking. We have on the outset cancelled most of these packages. However, as many of these tasks are already launched and are in the middle of construction, we will give these developers a possibility to refurbish the tips as required for Rera certification,” Kumar stated.

The regulatory authority has also began talks with 12 developers whom it had deregistered previous for flouting rules. “We have requested all 12 developers to come back on board,” Kumar stated.
