NEW DELHI: A 28-year-old senior govt of an infrastructure corporate used to be arrested after he allegedly molested and threatened a woman at a lodge in Aerocity on Sunday. The accused used to be later granted bail.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI Airport) Sanjay Bhatia stated that a case has been registered at IGI Airport police station towards the accused, Nikhil, a resident of Chittaranjan Park in south Delhi.
The incident befell at a membership inside the five-star lodge. The woman in her criticism to police stated that she had come to the membership together with her buddies to celebration on Saturday night. The accused had also come there along with his good friend. The celebration endured till nighttime. The woman alleged that the accused touched her inappropriately and when she protested towards his advances, he bodily harm her.
The woman then knowledgeable the control of the membership and the lodge about the incident. Police have been called in and a written criticism used to be submitted to them. Subsequently, the accused, who had been stopped for wondering, used to be taken into custody. He used to be granted bail and requested to sign up for the investigation later. His father is a businessman, police stated.
Police have requested the lodge control for extra details. A list of other people provide in the membership is being prepared to find out if there were any eyewitnesses to the incident.
Footage from CCTV cameras inside the membership and the lodge is being scanned to determine the collection of events. It may be being probed if the accused used to be under the influence of alcohol or every other intoxicant. His blood samples were taken for research.
