Former Army leader Dalbir Singh Suhag has been appointed as India's next top commissioner to Seychelles, a rustic which is of strategic significance to India in the Indian Ocean area. General (retired) Suhag was once the Army leader from July 31, 2014, to December 31, 2016. He was once also a part of the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) in Sri Lanka in 1987.
